How To Fix Infinix Note 2 Problems Caused By Marshmallow Upgrade
Ever since the release of Marshmallow update for the Infinix Note 2, a lot of people have been complaining of one problem or the other after upgrading their device to Android Marshmallow.
Some of these problems are the device rebooting several times, always hanging, hanging on incoming call etc.
The first thing to try if this is your case after upgrading, it to flash the device again using SP Flash Tool.
If that didn’t work, then the only other thing I can think of (other than to throw the phone away) is to return the phone to the Stock Android 5.1 Lollipop.
You will need SP Flash Tool in order to achieve this.
There is a step-by-step guide on how to use SP Flash Tool here if you don’t already know that.
Here are the things you will need:
- Patience.
- SP Flash tool – Download it here.
- Android ADB drivers – Download it here.
- Stock Rom for Infinix Not 2. You can download it here.
- Laptop or Desktop Computer.
- USB Cable for communicating between PC and Smartphones.

Yes it is Android 5.1 and you don’t need internet connection for the flashing.

can the rom be installed using the sd installation instead of using the flashing method..?
You will need to do it using flash method. The SD method is basically for updating your phone firmware version.
If the driver you downloaded from this site didn’t install on you system, I suggest you do a Google search for a driver that match your system specification.

if the ROM you downloaded is not the problem then the problem is that you have not perfectly installed the mtk drivers on your PC perfectly that’s why your sp flashtool is not detecting it after you install it well remove the cord and put it back in …,done it a zillion times
you guys should stop complaining and get to work joor ..,just install the mtk drivers correctly get the scatter files and you are good to go ….if you are in anambra I might spare time and do yours

No be small tin o after so many stress I got it rite d only problem was to update the flash tool to the latest.ave flashed it but d only pro now is i CNT boot to recovery ave pressed power and up,power and down button still not booting to recovery any solution

There are many things that can cause a phone not to boot. These include but not limited to flat or damaged battery, issue with power button. I suggest you take the phone to any Carlcare outlet near you.
If the phone boots at all but stock in the Infinix or XUI logo, perform a force shutdown by pressing and holding the power button for about 10 seconds and reboot.
My own oftenly reboot several times and go at times 124 apps before

Hold the power button for about 10 seconds and if it will on.
If it on but boots into recovery mode, follow this guide here to install the stock ROM.

Please help me out my Infinix Note 3 keeps hanging & freezing after switching it on it will work for 2 to 3 minute & immediately hangs or freeze without scrolling or working & it will later pop up a message either ” XUI isn’t responding” or “Dialer or whatsapp or whatever am working on before it hangs isn’t responding” with an additional below the pop up … to … Report Cancel or Wait …& if i pick any of the 3 options it still remain the same (freezed) & i will press the Volume + On to turn it on to REBOOT & same routine continues again (working for few minutes, hanging & not sending sms on mobile service provider) (& it didn’t fall or damaged whatsoever & i just bought it April this year 2016). Also I make & receive calls the short time i manage to switch it on but i can’t send messages nor receive on my service provider MTN & i’ve checked from MTN provider it’s not from their end… please please what can i do???

First force the phone to shutdown by holding the power button for about 10 seconds. If the phone restarts and the problem continues, take it to any Carlcare outlet near you.
